The 2021 Nebraska Transfer of Wealth Study reveals more than $100 billion in Nebraska wealth passing from one generation to another over the next 10 years. In Southwest Nebraska alone, more than$4.7 billion will change hands.
Simply put, that money opens the door for Greater Nebraskans to enter a new realm of community-building possibility. Please contact visit "Five to Thrive" to learn more about the Transfer of Wealth and Planned Giving.
The McCook Philanthropy Council is hosting a free workshop for planned giving.
On March 20, the Nebraska Community Foundation will host a webinar over the lunch hour with author Mark Weber about leaving a legacy in your community. Watch online by registering at www.nebcomfound.org or join the watch party at McCook Christian Church with MCFF providing lunch RSVP by clicking below.
Each week, MCFF highlights what is going on in our community, how to get involved or ways to show your support...and make McCook an even better place to call home. This week: McCook Connects is a program to bring newcomers and short-term students together with long-term residents, to share interests and hobbies and to get engaged in the community. Read more about the program in the column or click on the McCook Connects page to sign up.
