This week: While it may not look very smart, turkeys wander out in fields in the middle of a rain storm for protection - so they can see predators coming for them. They are taking advantage of the weather to stay safe.

The 2026 Southwest Nebraska Big Give is Thursday, Nov. 5. Organizations may sign up to participate during the month of June. Community Chest - a sub-account of MCFF - organizes the Big Give each year.
