Q.  What is the best thing about living in your community?

A. I have been heard to say that I am not from McCook, but I am of McCook. This community has allowed us to raise our children in what has become their hometown. I am always proud to answer, “I’m from McCook.”

Q. Through your time, what changes have you seen benefit McCook/SW NE?

A. The community’s awareness of the McCook Community Foundation Fund and our efforts in helping others reach dreams and goals along with making our community a

better place to live.

Q. What would you tell someone who is thinking about returning to McCook/SW NE?

A. We are not living in a big city waiting for opportunities to come to us. We are a collection of small communities in Southwest Nebraska. The McCook Community Fund Foundation is here to help make opportunities a reality through the generosity of our neighbors by utilizing the benefits of an endowment fund. Opportunity does not only live in big cities.

Q.  What drew you to be part of MCFF?

A. When I retired and moved back to McCook I wanted to be a part of something that would enrich the lives of not only the people of McCook, but also all of southwest Nebraska.

Q.  What do you hope happens because of  building MCFF’s unrestricted endowment)?

A. As we build the unrestricted endowment, we have significantly grown our capacity to grant requests that will provide meaningful experiences and opportunities.
