Beautify McCook

The McCook Community mural project is a year-long engagement calling members from the community to come together to converse and share stories about what they find important about life and the place they live in.

The lead artists, Darcy Millette and Amber Hansen, have lead design workshops inviting participants to create drawings, write poems, and share stories that will help to shape the mural’s themes and content. The lead artists, assistants, and apprentices have worked together to create a final composition utilizing the material collected at the design workshops.

Assistant Artists: Wes McCollam and Karrie Steely

Apprentice Artists: Elizabeth Aguirre, Maria Lopez Campos and Asher Long
